Joëlle Jacobs has been writing and performing original music from a young age for voice and guitar.  Until recently, most of her performances have been intimate back yard concerts, weddings, and private parties.  Her music is dynamic and lyric driven, with descriptive imagery drawn from her visual art background mixed with personal narratives that most everyone can relate to.  Some of Joëlle’s musical influences include Joni Mitchell, The Beatles, Paul Simon, James Taylor, Bjork, Tori Amos, Leonard Cohen, and more recently Gillian Welch, CHVRCHES, Arcade Fire, Radiohead.

She now plays in a 5 piece band called Joëlle Jacobs & The Enthusiasts which formed shortly after her debut album “Shadows for a New Year” was released October 2022.  The band includes her Producer Mike Vagianos on bass, Scott Dailey on keys, Jamie Jollie on drums, and Alex Haynes on guitar.  Joëlle Jacobs & The Enthusiasts had their first debut concert last October 7th of 2023 which was a huge success.  With their debut behind them, the band aspires to continue to play unique live shows and is currently working on new material to captivate their next audience.

Meanwhile Joëlle Jacobs continues to write and record new music while balancing the raising of her three children with her husband Carl.  She also works as a fine artist specializing in oil painting and often says she “can’t do music and art at the same time.”  After nearly a 10 year hiatus from creating music to go to art school, Joëlle Jacobs came back in 2015 strong and ready to write and perform, gathering inspiration from the many years of listening to music in her art studio, as well as collected life experiences and travels.
